Privacy policy

Loop and Link is made by Literary Genius Academy, LLC. It is used by children, so it is built to collect as little as it possibly can. This policy describes how the app works today. If that changes, this page changes with it and the date above is updated.

What the app collects today

Nothing leaves your device. Loop and Link has no accounts and no server that stores your information. Your child's stars, finished lessons, and the finger-drawing setting are saved in your browser's local storage, on the device you are using, and are readable only by that browser.

We do not collect names, email addresses, birthdays, locations, photos, contacts, microphone or camera input, device identifiers, or advertising identifiers. There is no login, so we have no way to know who you are.

What we never do

• No advertising of any kind, and no advertising SDKs.
• No third-party analytics or tracking scripts.
• No selling, renting, or sharing of personal information. There is none to sell.
• No behavioural profiling of children.
• No social media integrations or share buttons that report back.

Fonts

The app loads its typeface from Google Fonts. That request tells Google the IP address and browser making it, as any web request does. Nothing about your child or their progress is included. Once the app has been added to your home screen and loaded once, it runs from an offline cache and does not need to make that request again.

Hosting

The site is hosted on Vercel, which keeps standard server logs of requests, including IP addresses, for its own security and operations. We do not use those logs to identify or profile visitors.

Children's privacy and COPPA

Loop and Link is intended for children, and it is designed so that no personal information is collected from them. Because the app collects nothing and transmits nothing about its users, there is nothing about your child for a parent to review, correct, or ask us to delete from our systems.

To erase your child's progress, open the app, tap the settings gear, and choose Reset all progress. Clearing your browser's site data for loopandlink.app removes it too. Because the data lives only on the device, that deletion is complete and immediate.

What will change when accounts arrive

We are building optional parent accounts so progress survives a cleared cache and moves between devices. When that ships, this policy will be rewritten before it is switched on. The design constraints are already fixed: the account belongs to the parent, an account is created only by a parent, the only thing recorded about a child is a display name the parent chooses and which lessons have been completed, and a parent will be able to delete a child profile and everything attached to it from the account page. Purchases will be processed by Stripe, which handles payment details directly — we never see or store a card number.

Security

The site is served over HTTPS. Data stored on your device is subject to the security of that device.

Changes

If this policy changes materially, the date at the top changes and the new version is posted here before the change takes effect.
